KFI has obtained the certifications ISO 14001 for “Environmental Management Systems” and ISO 45001 for “Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems,” possessing a management system that meets the requirements dictated by the new ISO Standards on environment and occupational health and safety. What is the ISO 14001 certification?
ISO 14001 certification is the most widely recognized international standard for environmental management systems and is often used to increase trust of stakeholders in an organization’s environmental management system. This standard is built on humanity’s concern about sustainable development of the planet. The ISO 14001 certification focuses on enabling organizations in identifying, monitoring and managing the environmental impacts of their activities, reducing them within thresholds through maintenance and continuous improvement in the implementation of the environmental management system.

What is the ISO 45001 certification?
The ISO 45001 is a globally recognized certification that specifies requirements for the planning and implementation of an occupational health and safety (OSH) management system. The standard allows organizations to set up safe and healthy workplaces, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as proactively improving their OSH-related performance.
With the aim of improving alignment with other international standards (ISO 9001, 14001, etc.), the ISO 45001 certification was developed according to the High Level Structure (HLS) guidelines, so as to facilitate the adoption of Integrated Management Systems.
Therefore, the 45001 certification establishes a framework for improving safety, reducing risks in the workplace, and improving the health and well-being of workers, thus enabling increased health and safety performance and facilitating the organization to meet legal and other requirements.
